Bakehouse Cottage

The front door of Bakehouse Cottage opens straight onto beautiful Minchinhampton Common, and the views from the cottage are superb.

Garden furniture is provided for you to enjoy your meals on the common, surrounded by wild flowers and butterflies.

The cottage is a delight – all the guests love it, judging from the visitors’ book... It was renovated as a home rather than for letting, and as a result, is a warm and welcoming place. The windows are large so the rooms are bright, but with central heating and a woodburner to keep you cosy throughout the year.

You enter through a small door in the original sliding warehouse door. Inside is the bootroom – plenty of room for logs, bicycles as well as the boots. Leading off the bootroom is a wet room and the rest of the house. Stairs lead up to a double and twin bedroom, both dual aspect with wonderful views. There is also a cottage bathroom upstairs, with sloping ceiling... lie in the bath and watch the cattle on the common at the same time!

Downstairs you find a well-equipped kitchen with an everhot range cooker, door to the common and enough room for breakfast. The comfortable sitting room has 2 large windows looking out over the common, a woodburner, a TV and a DVD player. There is a separate dining room to seat 6 in case you want to invite friends round.

Ceilings are high for a cottage, but there are some low doorways and the bathroom has a sloping ceiling, so mind your heads!
